My sister-in-law called to give me the biggest laugh of the day. She reads this blog (as well as many others; she is a savvy, well-informed lady) and has learned a lot about diabetes & celiac through what I've written, others' comments, and diabetes365. She had an "Aha!" moment today. You see, she didn't' know what "diabetes OC"' meant. (I apologize. It means diabetes online community.) Her reference was the TV show, "The O.C." She had this picture in her head of the beautiful diabetics of Orange County, CA, slapping each other around over diabetes supplies. "Hand over that pump, you bitch!!"

See what living in SoCal has done to my brain?! Let me assure you, though, that I've never, ever watched the show. I'd rather spend our hard-earned money on almost anything than hand it over to a cable company for that...ahem...crap.

That is hilarious. Although I'm trying to figure out how one could relate bloggers with diabetes to the spoiled rich people of Orange County.
